But I wanted to add more context to my answer so I thought of writing this article.
Being a former Sr. Digital Marketing Trainer at DSIM from Nov 2015 – Aug 2016 & Former Product Manager at Digiperform from Nov 2017 – June 2018, I know how it is when you join a digital marketing institute!
Institutes or paid courses are not bad. At the same point in time, they are not always good as well coz it depends upon the trainers for different batches, experiences, students capabilities, place, environment etc etc etc!
My point is: Try to compare any paid course or institute with a regular engineering college or medical college or school or IITs or IIMs or anything which has been accepted traditionally by our society since ages!
When you do so, you will get a better perspective to look at “DIGITAL MARKETING” as a whole thing because for me it’s just a STREAM OF EDUCATION like Science, Commerce, Arts!
You cant be a successful engineer if you don’t apply the practicals in your work forever.
You cant be a good doctor if you don’t know how to treat your patients practically.
You cant be a great artist, if you don’t practically put your thoughts into picture.
Same way my friends, dudes & chicks, you wont be a successful digital marketer by taking a paid course or joining any damn institute in the world, if you don’t practically DO DIGITAL MARKETING which works in the now!
What is the meaning of “doing digital marketing” ???
It means you have to be good at the practical concepts of what’s working in the now with respect to organic (if it exists) & inorganic (if it’s under priced).
Currently for 2019-2020 it’s gonna be the following:
- Facebook ads (Inorganic)
- Instagram ads (Inorganic)
- TikTok (Organic)
- Linkedin (Organic)
- Podcast (Organic)
Does that mean YouTube, Seo, Google Adwords & others don’t work?
Nope it’s not like that… Those are the evergreen fields where there are experts sitting already so it’s crowded & you can grow instantly if you are just a new born digital baby!
That’s what is BEING AN EARLY ADOPTER!
