Practical Tips for Maintaining a Healthy Work-Life Balance & Not Over Stressing Yourself with Work All The Time.

Okay, so I am getting this question by many of my new followers from past 90 days:

How do I maintain a balance between my screen time, other stuff, and what are some non-screen activities which I am involved in (if at all I am involved in)?

how to have work life balance

So here’s my answer which I am sure will give you a totally different perspective of work life balance of an individual & happiness within your day, every single day, inspite all the bad phases or family problems which everyone has in their life.

See: I don’t balance my work life intentionally, I just live my life in the best possible way with all the potential I might have within.

Only I would be able to know that & as we grow older we get to discover our potential more and more and more and that’s where we become more and more mature in our life.

Everyone has different capabilities of getting mature.

Example: In 2015, I was hardly able to do 1 video a day for YouTube and that too crappy videos like this.

In this video I am expressing my gratitude to Neil Patel for a few things 🙂

And now checkout this video from 2019 where I am giving a keynote at TimesPro India, Times of India Group.

Many might get mature at a young age, many might get into 30s and so on so first rule of you getting mature & managing your work life balance is to stop comparing your life with somebody else’s life.

Example: You can’t compare your 20 years work life balance with let’s say Alia Bhatt or Sara Ali Khan or Varun Dhawan or Tiger Shroff’s 20 years work life balance.

So I don’t balance my work life because I live my own life, alright?

I live my life on the basis of my own terms, like, I just wake up and I just live my life.

At times I wake up at 4am for few days, and at times I might sleep at 5am because of work.

That’s what is called living on your terms.

I have told this previously that I don’t even plan my entire day.

I plan it as if I just want to execute on a couple of most important things for the current day.

So, suppose today’s most important task should be XYZ, three to five, at most five of these, which I want to execute upon, anyhow, that I would think before that day.

So, last night when I would be retiring to bed at night I would just think of those things.

I would just visualize those things, and I would just think how I am going to execute that, before 12:00 p.m.

And that’s what I only plan, and then the rest of the day I just let it roll.

Honestly: These days, I am not doing that as well because I believe as I am growing older and getting more and more practical about my life and the way I live it, I know things constantly change in the way I am living.

Example: I am 30 right now & I am unmarried. Let’s say next year if I get married, my priorities will change for sure. That doesn’t mean, I don’t have responsibilities right now. I am the one man show in my family where I am the one who is earning.

So the point is everyone has their own rules.

And apart from that, yes, I do walking, I do my gangster meeting.

When I say gangster, those are my teammates, because I don’t call them employees or anything, I just call them gangsters.

I keep on listening to podcasts, I keep on listening to GaryVee’s podcast.

I also watch movies.

I also watch Netflix, at times.

I also watch seasons, the current season which I am watching right now is “The Blacklist” final season, which I am watching right now.

It has recently come out.

I at times will watch songs and, like, I do plenty of stuff which, practically, is not possible to actually document.

I am also planning to watch “Inside Edge Season 2” on Amazon Prime which has recently come.

So, my point over here is to balance your life based on your terms, not by comparing with somebody else’s work life balance, which is what I have also said in one of my previous videos.

Once a while, like in January 2019, for a couple of months my dad was hospitalized and I was here and there.

He was in hospital for eight days, he was in a bad situation and I had my work, as I was just at the peak moment, I couldn’t leave my work.

I had to do my family responsibilities.

I was just here and there, here and there, sleeping for maybe three or four hours, and I was doing this video of Work Life Balance on Instagram & telling people that please don’t listen to somebody else’s work life balance.

So, that’s my point.

Work Life Balance or maybe any other activities that you do, it’s purely and purely depending up on your life.

Fix that and there is no hurry if you are in the 20’s, fix that according to your 20.

I may change the way I live it right now as I grow.

Once I become 38, right now I am 30, if I become 38 and if I see any change, I might just change a little work here and there.

The way I am communicating in front of the gang or the way I am communicating with people right now is totally different than what I was communicating in the past, maybe in 2014.

I did a separate video for that as well.

So, you see, like you keep on improving, and there is no fixed work life balance kind of thing.

You keep on evolving as a human being, and that’s what I do.

Life is full of ups and downs, there is no constant phase, and so I just live all the moments to the best and that’s my balance.

I just follow my formula which is LAS formula, Learn, Apply, Share – Be it my health, be it my mental fitness, be it nutrition, be it digital marketing, be it my work, be it my family, be it my social life, be it my friends relationship, be it my relationship with my partner, be it with you guys, I am consuming your DM’s.

What I am doing? I am consuming your own content, and then I am learning something, I am applying something, and I am sharing something.

That’s what I am doing since the past couple of years now and I am going to keep on going.

So, one thing which will remain the same in all my activities for my balance in life which you call is Learn, Apply, Share!
